We're looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in St Albans. You'll be supporting pupils with additional learning needs, helping them feel confident, engaged, and successful in the classroom.

This is a full time role, Monday - Friday 8:30-3:30pm starting in September.

Support pupils in the classroom and during activities.

Provide 1:1 and small-group support where needed.

Help pupils build confidence, communication, and independence.

Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.

Adapt support to suit individual learning needs.

Work closely with teachers and the wider school team.

At least 3 months' experience working with children or young people with SEND.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Right to work in the UK.

Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a Bachelor's Degree.

Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or other communication approaches.
