Who are we?
Little Loving Care is a new company, who opened their first children's home in Chesterfield this year. Bluebird Eve Lodge is a 4 bedroom home where up to 2 children can live together with social and emotional difficulties until they are 18 years old.
We are passionate about supporting children to feel loved, safe and feel a sense of belonging in their lives. We use Love led practice to support our children and ensure all our Adults are trained on this as part of their induction.
The company is run by highly experienced and qualified individuals. The Directors have achieved Outstanding ratings at Ofsted and won Awards and have a combined experience of over 25 years in the sector. The Responsible Individual has over 10 years experience and has achieved good ratings with Ofsted. The Manager has years of experience in the field and is dedicated to supporting her team from the front.

The Role
The Therapeutic Senior role is an on shift role and will run on a 2 on 3 / 4 off rota pattern. The role includes sleep in shifts and on call responsibility. Where the Manager is not available, or there is a requirement for additional support, there may be times where you will be expected to support by completing day hours on 9 to 5.
The Pay
The pay ranges from £14.00 to £15.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Sleep in's are paid at an additional £60 per night. On Call payments will be made additional to this.
Responsibilities
- Inspire and lead a team with the company's ethos and values
- Attend meetings and completing manager documents
- Completing the Managers role when they are unavailable
- Create loving and genuine connections with the children
- Providing a safe home and protect children and others from harm
- Complete supervisions, probations, debriefs and appraisals with Adults
- Support in challenging unprofessional or inappropriate behaviour
- Provide development to the Adults to progress them
- Work in a trauma informed and trauma responsive way
- Update relevant paperwork such as care plans and risk assessments
- Shift plan for the days, ensuring all children are supported in the best way
- Complete direct work with children in creative ways to support their learning
Experience
- Experience within the last 5 years working in children's homes
- A level 3 Diploma or working towards in Residential Childcare or equivalent
Person Specification
- A genuine caring and compassionate personality
- A flexible approach to work with ability to complete on call
- A positive attitude to working with others and creating a team environment
- Ability to take children on holiday and all activities they chose within reason
- Ability to monitor, report and record information relevant to children
- A creative and friendly personality who wants to go above and beyond for children
