Pay: £170–£250 per day (dependent on experience)

A warm and supportive primary school in Didsbury is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring pupils to achieve their full potential.
About the Role
You will take responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel supported and motivated. The role may be based in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on your experience and the needs of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching where required
- Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Support pupils with additional needs, working closely with the SENCO and support staff
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Uphold the school's behaviour policy and promote positive behaviour for learning
- Fulfil all professional responsibilities in line with the Teachers' Standards
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an Early Career Teacher (ECT)
- Has experience teaching in a UK primary school setting (placements accepted for ECTs)
- Has strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
- Has confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Is passionate, flexible, and committed to raising attainment
- Has the right to work in the UK and is available to work full-time
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Strong subject knowledge across the primary curriculum
