We are looking for a Network Engineer who can take ownership of network operations, troubleshooting, monitoring, and infrastructure improvements. You will work closely with our infrastructure, security, and IT support teams, helping maintain dependable connectivity across our network environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Network Operations: Configure, maintain, and monitor LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, switching, routing, and related network infrastructure.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, performance, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and access issues while minimising service disruption.
Network Monitoring: Monitor network availability and performance using appropriate monitoring and diagnostic tools. Identify potential problems and take corrective action.
Infrastructure Configuration: Configure network devices, maintain standard configurations, and ensure network changes are implemented safely and accurately.
Network Security: Support firewall, VPN, access control, segmentation, and other network security requirements in coordination with the wider technology team.
Documentation: Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration records, technical documentation, and incident records.
Project Support: Assist with network upgrades, infrastructure deployments, office connectivity projects, equipment replacements, and network improvement initiatives.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: 3+ years of experience in network engineering, network administration, infrastructure support, or a similar technical role.
Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, wireless networking, and network troubleshooting.
Technology: Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Juniper, or comparable networking technologies is desirable.
Monitoring: Experience using network monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify connectivity, performance, and availability issues.
Certifications: CCNA or equivalent practical networking knowledge is preferred. Additional networking or security certifications are an advantage.
Communication: You can explain technical issues clearly, document solutions effectively, and work collaboratively with infrastructure and support colleagues.
Mindset: You are methodical, reliable, and solution focused. You take ownership of network issues, investigate problems carefully, and know when to escalate complex technical matters.
Pay: £61,711.00-£78,550.00 per year
