The role:
Occupational Health Technician
As an Occupational Health Technician, you'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of health services across British Airways. Working alongside nurses and clinicians, you'll carry out health screening activities, prepare cases for clinical review, maintain accurate records and help ensure colleagues receive the support they need.
What You'll Do:
- Carry out preliminary medical tests, including blood pressure, vision and hearing assessments, and prepare cases for clinical review.
- Manage patient records and test results, ensuring information is accurate, complete and up to date before clinical assessment.
- Support the running of clinics, including pre- and post-clinic administration, patient communications and documentation.
- Work closely with nurses and clinicians to ensure cases are supported by the relevant information and medical history.
- Contribute to health and wellbeing initiatives, project work and improvements that help enhance the service provided to colleagues.
What You'll Bring to British Airways:

- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload.
- A collaborative approach and confidence working with a range of colleagues.
- Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Previous employment and experience as an OH Technician advantageous.
- LEVEL 3 certificate for occupational health technicians; OFQUAL regulated qualifications for OH Technicians regulated by the SOM. (desirable).
- Relevant NVQ or similar qualification in health or health & safety (essential).
- Occupational health experience with ability to understand, anticipate and implement aviation and occupational health requirements in a large and complex commercial organisation (preferred).
- Experience of health issues associated with air travel (preferred).
