We're looking for an energetic, creative, and enthusiastic Performing Arts Teacher to join our friendly Saturday team. If you love working with children, enjoy creating exciting performances, and believe in building confidence through the performing arts, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a paid role working Saturday mornings, with opportunities to be involved in showcases, performances, workshops, and special events throughout the year.
What you'll be doing
- Deliver engaging classes in singing, dance and drama for children of different ages and abilities.
- Inspire students to develop confidence, creativity, teamwork, and a love of performing.
- Help create performances for our showcases and events, creating exciting opportunities for children to perform on stage.
- Encourage expression through movement, storytelling, and performance.
- Adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and abilities, ensuring every child feels included and supported.
- Create a fun, safe, and positive learning environment where children can thrive.
- Work collaboratively with our team to develop new ideas, contribute to performances, and help shape our creative programme.
- Support and assist sessions where required and embrace a collaborative approach to teaching.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Maintain attendance records, lesson plans, and student progress.
We're looking for someone who
- Has experience teaching performing arts to children.
- Is passionate about musical theatre and the performing arts.
- Enjoys bringing creative ideas to life.
- Can motivate and inspire young performers while helping them build confidence both on and off the stage.
- Is confident managing groups of children in a fun, engaging, and supportive way.
- Is organised, reliable, and enjoys working as part of a creative team.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS certificate or is willing to obtain one.
