Personal Assistant – Buckinghamshire (MK18)
£22 per hour | Regular ongoing visits | Flexible visit availability
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Personal Assistant to join an established support team assisting a friendly gentleman in his own home in the MK18 area.
The client has a great sense of humour and enjoys watching television, completing puzzles, discussing current affairs and having a good chat. He values consistency and enjoys building positive relationships with the people who support him.
Visit Times
- 8:00am–9:00am
- 2:00pm–3:00pm
- 8:00pm–9:00pm
There is flexibility to discuss which visits you are available to cover.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting with personal care and dressing
- Catheter care, including managing leg and night bags
- Supporting safe mobility and reducing falls risks
- Preparing simple home-cooked meals and refreshments
- Medication prompting
- Light household tasks and laundry
- Ensuring the client’s call alarm is worn and accessible
- Providing companionship, reassurance and conversation
- Supporting the client to maintain his routines and independence
The client is very hard of hearing and does not routinely wear hearing aids. Clear, patient and respectful communication is therefore essential.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience supporting adults in their own homes
- Has experience with catheter care, including leg and night bags
- Understands falls prevention and safe mobility
- Is reliable and committed to attending agreed visits
- Is kind, patient and enjoys building genuine relationships
- Can work independently while communicating effectively with the wider PA team
