Overview
Darnchester Poultry Unit Ltd are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Poultry Farm Worker to complete the daily operations of our Poultry breeding facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in farming practices, animal care, and equipment maintenance. This role requires hands-on involvement in various farming activities, ensuring the efficient and sustainable management of livestock.
Duties
- To ensure that bird welfare is never compromised
- Manage and monitor ventilation, heating, feed, water, litter and lighting within the agreed standards, ensuring the highest quality conditions are provided.
- Collect eggs and pack to a high bio-security standard
- Carry out general maintenance when necessary
Requirements
- Experience in animal care, including feeding, health checks, and general welfare would be an advantage
- Literate / Numerate for documentation recording
- Experience in farming and or poultry is advantageous
- Flexible approach to working hours
- A valid driving licence
- Telehandler certificate is desirable but not essential
