Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Passenger Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting passengers, particularly those with special needs or requiring additional assistance, during their journeys. This role involves ensuring passenger safety, comfort, and well-being while providing excellent customer service. Prior experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Responsibilities
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting from vehicles, ensuring safe and smooth transitions
- Provide support to passengers with mobility challenges or neurodivergent conditions.
- Support passengers with personal care tasks, such as medication administration or meal preparation if required
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout their journey
- Maintain clear communication with passengers and team members to coordinate assistance effectively
- Monitor passenger behaviour and implement behaviour management strategies when necessary
- Assist with heavy lifting of mobility aids or luggage as needed
- Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when required
- Support passengers in emergency situations and ensure adherence to safety regulations
Skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with diverse passenger groups
- Ability to handle behaviour management sensitively and effectively
- Competence in medication administration and first aid procedures is desirable
- Assisting passengers with mobility challenges
- Organised and attentive to detail to ensure passenger safety at all times
- Reliable team player with a caring attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
