Duties
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents, supporting their daily activities and personal needs
- Supervise and mentor junior care staff, promoting best practices and professional development
- Assist in creating, reviewing, and updating individualized care plans in collaboration with residents and healthcare professionals
- Ensure all care activities comply with health and safety regulations, safeguarding residents’ dignity and rights
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare teams, and external agencies to coordinate care and address concerns
- Support residents with mobility, medication administration, nutrition, hygiene, and emotional well-being
- Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems for care records, incident reports, and progress notes
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior or elderly care within a care home setting
- Supervising or leadership experience demonstrating ability to guide a team effectively
- Strong communication skills to engage with residents, families, and colleagues clearly and empathetically
- Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Competent in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Knowledge of health & safety standards relevant to senior care environments
