Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Advisor to join the busy reception department in our GP surgery. The successful candidate will act as a vital link between patients and medical professionals, providing support and guidance, utilising the systems in place to carry out this varied role, with patient centred care at the forefront
You will be working 4 or 5 set afternoon and morning shifts per week, with a start time of 8am or a finish time of 6.30pm. Weekly hours range from 20-26. ( 5 - 5.5 hour shifts).
You will be part of a friendly and supportive team, who work together to provide a warm and efficient service to our patients and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with appointment scheduling and enquiries
- Support patients by signposting to the most appropriate surgery appointment or external service
- Answer patient enquiries and care needs efficiently by phone, online or face to face.
- Work through a daily admin task list, with accuracy and diligence.
We are looking for a team member who:

- Has empathy and understanding, with a desire to help patients find the correct service or appointment for their need.

- Can multitask in a busy environment.
Previous experience in a GP surgery or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
Full training will be given.
The role is subject to a 6 month probation period. Extra hours may be available following a successful probation. Core hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 6.30pm however, you will be required to work 2 Saturday mornings per year,

Please note - we have no parking on site, however there is local parking available at the current rate of £3 per day.
Pay: £12.75-£13.25 per hour
