About the Role
The Purple Roofing Co. is seeking experienced Roofers to join our team to assist with our continued social housing and public-sector contracts.
The role involves completing full roof replacement projects alongside reactive repairs and maintenance across domestic, commercial, social housing and public-sector properties.
We are looking for skilled roofers who can work confidently as part of an independent team while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Stripping and recovering pitched roofs
- Installing slates, tiles, membranes, battens and associated roofing components
- Completing roofing repairs and reactive maintenance
- Undertaking roofing details, including valleys, verges, ridges and penetrations
- Working effectively with roofers, labourers and apprentices
- Supporting and training apprentices where required
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and customer service
- Completing required job photographs and compliance records
- Keeping vehicles, equipment and work areas clean and organised
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A minimum Level 2 NVQ in Roof Slating and Tiling
- Previous experience working independently as a Roofer
- Strong pitched roofing and roof replacement experience
- A full UK driving licence
- A professional and customer-focused approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- The ability to commute to the Bradford and Leeds area
- A willingness to undertake further training
Experience in flat roofing, leadwork, roofline installation and social housing contracts would be advantageous.
