Dual Homes Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care
Role: Dual Homes Registered Manager
Lead Two Homes. Shape Two Futures. Transform Young Lives.
Are you an experienced children’s residential care leader ready to take the next step in your career?
Do you have the vision, resilience and leadership skills to create two outstanding homes where children and young people feel safe, valued, connected and able to thrive?
At Excel Solutions Group Ltd and Emerge Care & Therapeutic Solutions Ltd, we believe that exceptional care starts with exceptional leadership.
Our homes are built around our core values of Voice, Connection, Growth and Inclusion, underpinned by our Roots to Wings therapeutic model. We provide trauma-informed care that recognises each child’s experiences, celebrates their strengths and supports them to build the confidence and skills they need for their future.
We are looking for an ambitious and values-driven Dual Homes Registered Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across two children’s residential homes.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong Registered Manager who wants greater responsibility, autonomy and influence — while remaining firmly focused on achieving the best outcomes for children.
Your Mission
As Dual Homes Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, safeguarding, quality, compliance and performance of two residential children's homes.
You will create consistency across both homes while ensuring that each home retains its own identity, culture and understanding of the children it supports.
You will:
- Lead, inspire and develop two high-performing residential care teams.
- Ensure both homes consistently meet the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Ofsted Quality Standards and safeguarding requirements.
- Act as a strong safeguarding leader and ensure children’s welfare remains at the heart of every decision.
- Embed our Roots to Wings therapeutic approach across both homes.
- Maintain strong oversight of care planning, risk management, safeguarding, staffing and placement stability.
- Lead managers and senior staff to deliver excellent day-to-day practice.
- Develop a culture where staff feel confident, accountable and supported.
- Monitor budgets, resources, staffing levels and operational performance across both homes.
- Build effective partnerships with social workers, education providers, health professionals, families and other agencies.
- Lead audits, quality assurance and continuous improvement across both services.
- Use data, feedback, incidents, complaints and children's experiences to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare both homes for Ofsted inspection and drive continuous progress towards Outstanding practice.
- Ensure children's voices genuinely influence the care they receive and the way each home operates.
- Participate in the organisation’s on-call arrangements.
More Than Management — Leadership That Matters
This role isn't simply about running two buildings.
It's about creating two cultures where children can flourish.
You will be visible, emotionally intelligent and purposeful in your leadership. You will know when to challenge, when to coach and when to listen.
You will empower your teams to think therapeutically, work reflectively and remain curious about what sits behind a child's behaviour.
Most importantly, you will help create homes where children experience:
Safety. Belonging. Stability. Hope. Opportunity.

You will be an experienced children's residential care leader with the confidence and capability to lead at a senior level.
