We are a busy, high-street independent coffee shop looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Supervisor to join our friendly team of 15.
This is a hands-on role, supporting the day-to-day running of the business and helping us maintain the excellent customer service and high standards our customers have come to expect.
About the role
As Supervisor, you will play an important part in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the shop. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and supporting the team throughout the day
- Providing consistently friendly, professional and exceptional customer service
- Motivating and encouraging the team to maintain high standards
- Ordering and managing stock on a daily basis
- Liaising closely with management regarding stock, staffing and the day-to-day operation of the business
- Handling cash and completing daily banking procedures
- Opening and closing the shop
- Ensuring the shop is clean, well-presented and running efficiently
- Dealing confidently and professionally with customers and any day-to-day issues that arise
- Taking responsibility for maintaining the smooth operation of the business in the absence of management
About you
We are looking for someone who is positive, friendly, reliable and confident, with a genuine passion for providing great customer service.
You should be comfortable taking responsibility, leading by example and encouraging those around you. Previous supervisory or retail experience would be an advantage, as would experience in a busy café or coffee-shop environment.
Most importantly, you will share our commitment to creating a friendly, welcoming and efficient environment, both for our customers and our team.
