Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Stewards to join our Festival team for our outdoor music festival in Eastbourne; Southbound Fest. it takes place accross 2 days - 22nd and 23rd August. Full or part shifts available; hours between 10am - 23:00pm.
Our Stewards will work in shifts on the event day to ensure the safety and smooth running of our customers and event. This position requires proactive individuals who can manage various tasks efficiently while contributing to a positive atmosphere for both guests and staff.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the SIA team and festival directors to ensure the safety of the site and our customers
- Acting as the front line for safety and information for our customers; creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for all
- Greeting and directing customers
- Monitoring crowd movement and assisting with queue control
- Assisting with entrance, exit and emergency procedures
- Reporting / escalating any anti-social behaviour, hazards or emergencies
- Manning the perimeter of event and traffic management
- Managing litter and ensuring the site is clean
Experience
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Able to stay calm under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction; customer service experience in previous role(s); confident in dealing with the public
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also managing individual responsibilities.
- Ability to stand / walk comfortably for long periods
- Reliable and punctual
- Due to the nature of this role applicants must be aged 18 and over

Pay: £11.00-£13.50 per hour
