Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Support the catering team during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of meals
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and organising supplies for cooking
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards
- Help with the organisation and storage of ingredients and supplies in line with health regulations
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and professional manner when required
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or kitchen environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with meal preparation, food safety protocols, and general kitchen practices is advantageous
- Experience in food presentation or serving can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- A keen interest in culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills within a fast-paced environment is essential
