We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Forklift Driver to join our Warehouse team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. If you are a motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety, we would love to hear from you!
Your Experience
We are seeking a committed and positive individual, ideally with previous experience working within a Warehouse environment. Experience within a FMCG/food manufacturing would be a positive.
You will possess a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, have excellent problem-solving skills and be well organised. Fluency in English, both verbal and written is essential together with good numerical ability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate Forklifts: Safely operate forklifts to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and Unload: Load and unload products from trucks, pallets, and other transport vehicles.
- Stock movement: Stack and store materials in designated areas and recording on computer system
- Inspect Equipment: Perform daily safety checks on forklifts and report any defects.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure loads are properly secured and balanced, and comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness of the forklift and surrounding areas of the warehouse.
- Quality Assurance: Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Assist in Warehouse Operations: Help maintain a safe and orderly environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience as a forklift operator.
- Certification: Valid certification to operate forklifts.
- Physical Condition: Excellent physical condition and coordination.
- Communication: Good communication skills to coordinate with other warehouse staff.
Hours: 5pm to 4am, 4 on 3 off
Alternate weekends
10 hours shift pattern
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £15.75 per hour
