Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Food Preparation Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves supporting the preparation and presentation of meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. Duties
- Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to specified recipes and standards
- Support the cooking process by following instructions from head chefs or kitchen managers
- Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to during preparation and handling of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Help with portioning, plating, and garnishing dishes for service
- Support the team in managing stock levels and replenishing supplies as needed
- Assist with serving food to customers or guests when required
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: £12.71-£13.71 per hour
