Overview
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Head Barista to join our team at our horse box café. In your job role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, serving a small hot food menu, managing stock and ordering, alongside responsibilities in maintaining a clean and organised workspace and creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Hours will range from 3-4 shifts a week.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot beverages, ensuring quality and consistency in every cup.
- Handle card payments and confidently use the POS system to record sales, discounts, and wastages.
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café, including food preparation areas and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations during food handling and preparation.
- Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and placing orders with suppliers.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while managing time effectively.
- Confidently run a solo shift and report any issues/health and safety concerns.
Qualifications
- PREVIOUS BARISTA EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
- Experience in the food service industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques is beneficial.
Base Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
