Warehouse Operative – PPT & Reach Truck (Evening Shift)
Location: Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 20:00 - 05:00 (including a paid 30-minute break)
Working Pattern: Sunday - Thursday ( 1 in 3 Fridays - Paid at overtime rate )
Contract: Full Time
Pay: £13.50 per hour, £31,590 per annum
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative ( PPT & Reach Driver ) to join our chilled food warehouse team on an evening shift. This is a varied role combining warehouse operations, stock control and warehouse administration. You'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional service by accurately allocating, picking, loading and dispatching customer orders, maintaining stock integrity and supporting the smooth operation of the warehouse through the effective use of customer systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate PPT and Reach Truck equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pick, load and dispatch customer orders accurately and on time.
- Allocate customer orders and stock using customer warehouse management systems.
- Carry out stock replenishment, stock rotation, stock control and stock takes.
- Print labels and warehouse documentation and maintain accurate warehouse and customer system records.
- Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Take pride in maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
- Strive for excellence by maintaining the highest standards of Health & Safety, food safety, food traceability and customer requirements.
- Build strong working relationships with the warehouse administration team, transport team, drivers and shunters, recognising that by working together we deliver the highest standards of service for our customers.
- Contribute ideas that improve safety, quality, efficiency and the way we work.
About You
- Previous warehouse experience is essential.
- Valid PPT and Reach Truck licences are essential.
- Experience within a chilled food, food manufacturing or aviation logistics environment would be advantageous.
- Experience using warehouse management or customer stock systems.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
- Ambitious and keen to develop into a Warehouse Supervisor role.
