Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring the optimal functioning of all mechanical and electrical systems, and implementing preventative maintenance programmes. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of performance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies, including scheduled inspections and preventative measures.
- Oversee the repair and servicing of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Manage projects related to equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications, ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Utilise programme logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics to diagnose faults and carry out troubleshooting effectively.
- Coordinate with other departments to plan maintenance activities around operational schedules.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment history for reporting purposes.
Skills
- Proven management experience with strong leadership qualities.
- Solid project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Extensive knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical schematics.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in maintenance operations.
- Demonstrable supervisory experience in a technical environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in planning and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams and troubleshoot complex systems efficiently.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on safety standards and best practices.
