Are you an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong background delivering High Voltage (HV) and Civil Engineering projects?
We're working with a rapidly expanding civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across Scotland. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Contracts Manager to take ownership of multiple live projects across the West Coast and Edinburgh regions.
Projects are due to commence in August, and this role will offer a mixture of site-based work and remote working, providing flexibility whilst remaining close to project delivery.

The Opportunity
You'll oversee the successful delivery of up to three live projects valued between £1 million and £5 million, leading site teams from pre-construction through to completion.
This is a hands-on operational role where you'll be trusted to manage programmes, coordinate resources, build client relationships and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Working across projects throughout Scotland, you'll split your time between site visits and remote working, giving you the autonomy to manage your own workload whilst remaining fully involved in project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Deliver multiple HV and Civil Engineering projects simultaneously.
- Produce and manage construction programmes.
- Lead Site Managers, Engineers and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
- Build and maintain excellent client relationships.
- Coordinate labour, plant, subcontractors and materials.
- Manage project documentation, reporting and risk management.
- Work closely with the Commercial Manager and Quantity Surveyor to maintain commercial performance.
- Report directly to senior leadership and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
We're Looking For
You'll ideally have experience delivering projects involving:
- HV Substations
- Power Infrastructure
- Cable Installation
- DNO Projects
- Civil Engineering Infrastructure
- Renewable Energy or BESS (desirable)
Essential Experience
- Proven Contracts Management experience within HV and Civil Engineering.
- Strong understanding of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts.
- Previous experience of working for a Tier 2 Contractor
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience leading Site Managers, Engineers and subcontractors.
- Excellent programme management skills using Microsoft Project.
- Commercial awareness and experience working alongside Commercial Managers and Quantity Surveyors.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- CSCS Card.
