The Role;
As a Machine Operative (Front End), you’ll set and operate a Brake Press to produce parts to exact technical specifications. You’ll verify machine settings, maintain safety standards, and keep your work area organized — all while contributing to projects that genuinely matter.
Responsibilities:
· Set and operate a Brake Press (Amada) to produce parts to technical drawings and instructions
· Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm tolerances and machine functions
· Maintain cleanliness of the machine
· Complete all required safety procedures prior to and during operations
· Organize work area before and after parts are processed
What you will bring;
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience setting and operating Brake Press
- Minimum 1 year experience forming various sizes & thicknesses of blanks
- Minimum 2 years experience setting and operating a Laser machine
- Understanding of mechanical production techniques
- Be able to use accurately: tape measure, micrometre, verniers and other go/no-go gauges
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Competence to accurately read and interpret drawings and setting data
- Ability to work as part of a team and learn new skills
