Overview
Join our vibrant after school program as a Supply Support worker. We are hiring someone to undertake occasional shifts within a busy out of school care environment.
We are looking for sickness and annual leave cover throughout the year.
Duties
- Support children during after school activities, encouraging participation and fostering social interaction.
- Assist with setting up and tidying activity spaces to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Help supervise children during playtime and snack time.
- Support with transportation arrangements if needed, including walking children to local destination.
Requirements
- Experience in childcare, teaching, nannying or supporting children’s activities is essential.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Passion for working with children and creating positive experiences for young learners.
- Ability to support children’s emotional and physical needs with patience and understanding.
- Flexibility to work afternoons and early evenings during term time and varied hours durign school holidays.
- Basic knowledge of child safeguarding policies and procedures is preferred but training can be provided
- Must hold a valid childcare qualification that allows you to register with the SSSC as a support worker.
- Must undertake a full PVG Check
Pay: £12.21-£12.71 per hour
