We are a friendly, family run café in the centre of Howden looking to expand our kitchen staff to match our continued growth.
The right candidate will have a love for good food and a high sense of pride and professionalism in their work. Previous kitchen experience is essential, as is a positive attitude with a readiness to get stuck into all aspects of the role. An ability to keep a level head to multitask in a fast-paced environment is also essential as we do get very busy.
Baking experience would be an advantage.

Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Implementing best practice
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes and sanitizing kitchen equipment Keeping track of stock levels
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers and team members
- Opening and closing the kitchen
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking supplies
- Minimising stock loss through the creation of specials
- Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 2 food and hygiene
Required minimum 3 days per week & holiday cover, must be available to work some weekends with plenty of scope to grow as we do as a business. Salary will be offered dependent on relevant experience.
