Halton Haven Hospice has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive individual to join our newly developed integrated Facilities Team as Facilities Supervisor.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, improving services and creating environments where patients, families, volunteers and staff feel safe, welcomed and cared for.
Working alongside the Facilities Manager, you will supervise the day-to-day delivery of housekeeping, environmental cleaning, hospitality, laundry and facilities support services across the Hospice, ensuring consistently high standards are maintained while supporting the development of a flexible, multi-skilled team.
About the role:
As Facilities Supervisor you will play an important part in ensuring our Hospice environment reflects the outstanding care we provide.
· In this role you will contribute to:
· Supervising the day-to-day operation of the Facilities Team
· Planning workloads and allocating duties across the service
· Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and infection prevention
· Supporting patient room preparation and operational readiness
· Monitoring quality standards, audits and cleaning schedules
· Supporting stock control and ordering of facilities consumables
· Assisting with training, supervision and development of Facilities staff and volunteers
· Promoting a culture of excellent customer service throughout the Hospice
· Working closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to support patient care
We are looking for someone who:
· Has previous supervisory experience within facilities, housekeeping, hospitality or healthcare
· Leads by example and enjoys motivating others
· Has excellent organisational and communication skills
· Is committed to delivering outstanding customer service
· Understands the importance of cleanliness, infection prevention and health & safety
· Can adapt to changing priorities in a busy environment
· Shares our values of compassion, respect and teamwork
Experience within healthcare or another regulated environment would be advantageous, although candidates with transferable supervisory experience are encouraged to apply.
