The opportunity
Youth & Earth is looking for a Procurement and Production Coordinator to sit at the centre of our supply chain — the link between procurement, production, the warehouse and our suppliers. You'll keep purchase orders, production schedules and stock levels moving in step with customer demand, so the wider team always knows what's coming, when, and whether anything needs attention.
This is a hands-on coordination role. You won't be setting strategy, but you will be the person who makes sure day-to-day execution runs smoothly — chasing what needs chasing, flagging what needs flagging, and keeping everyone's data accurate and up to date.
What success looks like
- Purchase orders are raised, tracked and followed up on time, with no orders forgotten or delayed by inaction.
- Production schedules are visible and kept current, so shortages and delays are spotted early, not discovered late.
- Stock levels in the ERP system match physical reality across the warehouse and manufacturers.
- Suppliers hit their agreed lead times, or issues are flagged and chased before they become a problem.
- The Manufacturing & Procurement Manager gets clear, accurate updates without having to ask twice.
What you'll do
Procurement support
- Raise and track purchase orders for raw materials, packaging and finished goods.
- Chase suppliers on order confirmations, lead times and delivery dates.
- Keep supplier records, pricing and terms accurate and up to date.
- Support quote comparisons and basic cost tracking.
Production coordination
- Track production schedules against approved forecasts and stock requirements.
- Liaise with manufacturers and co-packers on order status, samples and delivery timing.
- Flag production delays or risks as soon as they appear.
Stock control and inventory
- Monitor stock levels across raw materials, work in progress and finished goods.
- Reconcile manufacturer and warehouse stock against the ERP system, and investigate discrepancies.
- Support reorder planning by flagging low stock, excess stock and expiry risks.
Logistics and warehouse
- Coordinate with the warehouse and 3PL on inbound deliveries and stock handovers.
- Ensure delivery instructions, quantities and documentation are correct before goods move.
- Help resolve receiving discrepancies, damages or missing paperwork.
What you'll need
- Experience coordinating procurement, supplier performance and production planning against customer demand.
- Background in supplement/nutraceutical, FMCG or packaged goods manufacturing.
- Comfortable working in an ERP/inventory system such as Unleashed, SAP or NetSuite.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills for tracking orders, stock and schedules.
- Organised and detail-focused, with the discipline to follow up until things are actually closed out.
- Clear communicator, comfortable chasing suppliers and internal teams without letting things slip.
Nice to have
- Experience working across procurement, production and warehouse functions within the same role.
- Familiarity with UK, EU and US supplement or FMCG compliance requirements.
- Experience in a fast-growing, founder-led business where processes are still being developed.
- Experience using Unleashed would be highly desirable, although it is not essential. Experience with a similar ERP or inventory-management system will also be considered.
A note on scope: this role reports into the Head of Ops and owns day-to-day execution — raising POs, tracking production, chasing suppliers and keeping data accurate. Supplier strategy, budget approval and major sourcing decisions sit with the Manager.
