About the Role
Aurora Vision Digital Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Business Systems Analyst to support the design, improvement, and implementation of digital business solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, software teams, project managers, and external partners to understand operational requirements and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications.
You will analyse existing systems and processes, identify improvement opportunities, support solution design, and help ensure that new systems deliver measurable business value.
This position is suitable for a senior analyst with strong experience in business analysis, systems implementation, requirements management, and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business processes, systems, workflows, and operational requirements
- Gather requirements through interviews, workshops, observation, and document reviews
- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
- Prepare business requirement documents, user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteria
- Evaluate existing systems and identify gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Support the design and implementation of software and digital business solutions
- Work closely with developers, architects, testers, and project managers
- Facilitate requirements workshops with business and technical stakeholders
- Manage requirement changes throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives and technical constraints
- Support system testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution
- Review test plans and confirm that delivered solutions meet agreed requirements
- Assist with data mapping, system integration, and migration activities
- Prepare impact assessments for proposed system and process changes
- Develop process diagrams, workflow models, and system documentation
- Support system implementation, training, and operational transition activities
- Monitor solution performance and recommend further improvements
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and business-readiness issues
- Prepare project updates, analysis reports, and recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Mentor junior business analysts and promote consistent analysis standards
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or digital transformation
- Proven experience working on software implementation or systems-improvement projects
- Strong understanding of business-analysis methods and the software development lifecycle
- Experience gathering, documenting, validating, and managing complex requirements
- Ability to create process maps, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Experience working with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent stakeholder-management and workshop-facilitation abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience supporting user acceptance testing and system implementation
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English
Desirable Experience
- Experience with enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, or workflow-management systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of application programming interfaces and systems integration
- Experience with data analysis, data mapping, and migration projects
- Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, or business-intelligence platforms
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, or similar tools
- Business Analysis certification from BCS, IIBA, or an equivalent organisation
- Experience working within a digital consultancy or software-solutions company
- Knowledge of change-management and business-readiness practices
Pay: £42,000.00-£58,000.00 per year
