Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organised and technically minded Building Safety & Compliance Coordinator to support the effective management of compliance processes across the property portfolio. The role will involve administrative coordination alongside property-related compliance activity, including site visits, fire door inspection support, and maintaining awareness of relevant legislation such as the Building Safety Act, health and safety requirements and fire safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, good attention to detail and the confidence to liaise with property managers, contractors and external specialists.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update compliance databases and tracking systems.
Monitor the compliance mailbox and respond to or escalate queries as appropriate
Liaise with property managers, contractors and external companies to obtain, review and follow up on compliance reports.
Monitor compliance records and chase outstanding reports, certificates and remedial actions as necessary.
Carry out property visits as required to support compliance checks and follow up on identified issues.
Support and/or carry out fire door inspections, recording findings accurately and escalating defects or remedial requirements.
Maintain awareness of technical compliance requirements, including the Building Safety Act, fire safety duties and relevant health and safety legislation.
Monitor risks and actions raised through Fire Risk Assessments, General Risk Assessments and other compliance assessments, ensuring they are tracked, escalated and followed up appropriately.
Provide administrative support by maintaining accurate records, updating systems and organising compliance documentation.
Provide support and guidance on compliance matters as required, escalating technical queries where appropriate.
Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging compliance trends.

Able to understand and apply technical compliance information accurately.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proficient in all Microsoft packages.
Experience or good working knowledge of the Building Safety Act and its relevance to residential property compliance.
Understanding of health and safety legislation, fire safety requirements and relevant property compliance obligations.
Experience attending property visits and accurately recording compliance findings.
Experience carrying out, supporting or coordinating fire door inspections.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to adapt to changes in regulations and proactively address technical compliance issues.
Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
