Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive experience in food preparation and restaurant management. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to company recipes and standards.
- Manage daily operations, including organising shifts, delegating tasks, and ensuring efficient workflow during service hours.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
- Assist with training new team members in food production, service procedures, and health & safety protocols.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders when necessary, and manage inventory to minimise waste.
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
- Support the development of team members through coaching and mentoring to foster a positive working environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality environments.
- Strong leadership qualities with previous supervising or team management experience.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food presentation and service techniques.
- Experience in managing stock levels and inventory control.
- Exceptional communication skills to motivate staff and engage with customers professionally.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting.
- Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not essential.
