Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
About Us
External Doors Online is a growing nationwide e-commerce supplier of high-quality glazing products, windows, and doors. We take our customer support seriously and are looking for a proactive, organised, and empathetic Customer Service Lead to join us at our Brighouse office.
You will be the main point of contact for all customer care enquiries, making it ideal for a self-starter who loves taking ownership, managing their own workload, and delivering an excellent customer experience from start to finish. Covering everything from initial product queries to aftersales support.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the Main Point of Contact: Handle all customer care enquiries professionally and efficiently via phone and email.
- Resolve Issues: Efficiently investigate and resolve customer complaints and aftersales queries, turning complex situations into positive solutions.
- Order Tracking & Updates: Keep customers fully informed about their order status, delivery schedules, and any service issues.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Liaise daily with suppliers, couriers, and internal teams to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer journey.
- Keep Accurate Records: Maintain spotless customer records and ensure our internal CRM and order management systems are kept up to date.
- Improve Processes: Identify patterns in customer feedback and suggest ways we can continuously improve our service and procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience in a dedicated customer service, customer care, or aftersales role. Experience within online retail, home improvement, manufacturing, or construction is highly beneficial.
- Autonomy: A proven ability to work independently, prioritise your own workload, and manage your time effectively.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication—you are a natural problem solver who can diffuse tension with a calm, professional approach.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in logging data and updating internal systems.
- Tech-Savvy: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email systems, and ideally, experience with order tracking or CRM platforms.
