The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Lanarkshire Trauma and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Team for a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner.
Based at University Hospital Wishaw, you will join a dynamic and supportive Allied Health Professional team delivering high-quality care within a busy Trauma and Orthopaedic service.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support the rehabilitation and recovery of patients following trauma and orthopaedic surgery. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking to develop their clinical skills and gain valuable experience within a fast-paced acute hospital environment.
In this key role, you will:

Responsible for a delegated clinical caseload of patients whose treatment follows clearly defined parameters.

Assess, implement, progress treatment and discharge in accordance with agreed protocols and parameters.

Plan and prioritise delegated patient caseload.

Plan and organise a range of therapeutic activities/clinics
What You'll Bring:
-
HNC in healthcare, education or social cares or SVQ III in healthcare, education or social care or equivalent experience in a health, education or social care environment.

Short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.

Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
-
A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
