Trent Law Solicitors, established 2011 and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, is recruiting a Property and Mortgage Administrator for the property division of the Trent Group, which includes Trent Estate Agents, Trent Finance and Trent Notary. The role is based at the group's head office in Nottingham.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will run the administration of the group's estate agency work and prepare mortgage application files for submission.
Property duties:
- Preparing sales and lettings listings and maintaining them on Rightmove, Zoopla, PrimeLocation and OnTheMarket.
- Arranging viewings, recording feedback and handling telephone enquiries.
- Preparing tenancy agreements, referencing, right to rent checks, deposit registration and prescribed information.
- Maintaining the compliance calendar: gas safety, electrical reports, energy performance certificates, alarms, inventories and inspections.
- Monitoring property licensing requirements across local authorities.
- Sales progression from memorandum of sale to completion.
- Carrying out and recording client due diligence under the Money Laundering Regulations.
Mortgage duties:
- Collecting and collating application documents: identification, proof of income, bank statements and evidence of deposit.
- Verifying files are complete before handover to the director for submission.
- Maintaining records of outstanding items and keeping clients informed of progress.
This is an administrative position. The postholder will not give legal, mortgage or insurance advice, will not submit applications to lenders and will not sell. There is no commission element.
REQUIREMENTS
- Accurate written English.
- A professional telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A full driving licence and use of a car.
Prior estate agency or mortgage experience is not required; full training is provided. Experience in conveyancing support, lettings, insurance, banking or another environment requiring accurate administration is an advantage.
Pay: £25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
