Laundry/Domestic shifts available on a bank basis to cover annual leave or sickness prgressing to permanent shifts when they become available The shifts are 6 hours from 9.00-15.00
As part of the Beckfield House team, you will ensure any designated areas within the care home are hygienically cleaned to the highest standard at all times, that all housekeeping duties are carried out in an efficient and timely manner and help to create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our residents. This may include working in the laundry with its associated duties. Previous experience is not essential but there is an expectation that training will be undertaken.
The key duties of this post are:
- The Care Home Domestic may undertake varied tasks in relation to general cleaning and laundry work.
- To ensure the safety and welfare of service users is paramount.
- Ensure the home maintains a high level of cleanliness
- Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes
- Maintain stock and ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained
- Employ safe working practices and adhere to health & safety procedures
- Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
