Responsibilities
- Ensure that all clinical practice within the service adheres to organisational policies and board directives, maintaining strict compliance with statutory requirements, safeguarding legislation and child-protection standards.
- Prioritise patient safety by implementing effective risk-management processes,
- monitoring incidents and trends, and ensuring swift corrective action when required.
- Ensure all mandatory documentation, audits and regulatory procedures are completed to a high standard.
- Oversee clinical administration, patient notes.
- Oversee the smooth running of the paediatric unit, ensuring that clinics, patient flow and day-to-day operations are well organised, efficient and responsive to patient needs.
- Provide visible leadership and guidance to clinical and support staff, promoting high standards of professionalism, compassionate care and teamwork.
- Coordinate the delivery of clinical activities formerly undertaken by assistant staff, including patient preparation, clinical support tasks and liaison with families, ensuring these functions are fully integrated into the wider service model.
- Work with healthcare professionals, senior clinicians and external partners to identify the immediate and long-term needs of the service, creating plans to meet these objectives within financial and operational constraints.
- Provide necessary supports with infant circumcision procedures including suturing.
- Uses performance indicators, service data and statistical reports to evaluate service outcomes, identify areas for improvement and support future planning and resource allocation.
- Liaise with parents on pre/post-procedure guidance (with our Senior HCA).
- Lead quality-improvement initiatives and contributes to the development of new pathways, protocols and clinical processes.
- Negotiate and manages service contracts with internal departments, external providers and commissioners, ensuring value for money and high-quality service delivery.
- Monitor resource utilisation and supports the effective deployment of staffing, equipment and budgets.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, induction, rota oversight, appraisal and ongoing staff development.
- Identify training needs within the paediatric team and ensures that staff receive appropriate guidance, supervision and professional development opportunities.
- Promote a supportive working environment that encourages learning, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Build strong working relationships with medical staff, nursing teams, allied health professionals, administrative staff and external health agencies.
- Support the coordination and promotion of public-health messages and wellbeing initiatives across the service and wider community organisations.
- Monitor and reports on trends related to child health and community wellbeing,
- ensuring these insights inform policy, service priorities and preventive strategies.
Skills
- Strong understanding of paediatric care pathways and the needs of children, young people and their families.
- Must have Paediatric proven experience.
- Excellent leadership ability with experience guiding clinical or care teams in a busy healthcare environment.
- Proven organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to coordinate patient care support, manage competing priorities and maintain service efficiency.
- Confident communicator, capable of liaising sensitively with parents/carers and professionally with multidisciplinary teams.
- Competence in interpreting clinical data, service statistics and operational performance reports.
- A thorough approach to information governance, safeguarding protocols and confidentiality.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, manage difficult situations and support
- staff working in emotionally challenging scenarios.
- Proven experience as Paediatric Services or similar (e.g., medical technician,
- theatre support).
- Essential: Pre-existing specialist training in infant circumcision (overseas
- qualification/certificates required).
- Excellent English communication (OET B1 level ).
- Basic clinical skills (e.g., vitals monitoring, infection control, Paediatric ECG).
- Advanced paediatric and neonatal life support courses are desirable
- Right to work in the UK (or eligible for Health & Care Worker visa sponsorship).
- Enhanced DBS check (we'll assist).
- Flexible to work weekdays/Sundays in our new daily clinic.

Pay: £19.80-£20.00 per hour
