You'll become an important part of a friendly finance team, taking responsibility across purchase ledger, sales ledger, reconciliations, VAT, bookkeeping and month-end, with the opportunity to develop towards Management Accounts.

The Role
You'll have a varied role within the finance function, with responsibility for:
- Purchase and Sales Ledger
- Bank reconciliations and payment runs
- VAT returns and postponed import VAT accounting
- Bookkeeping and financial record keeping
- Supporting month-end and Management Accounts
- Financial reporting and analysis using Excel
- Customer and supplier account queries
- Credit reviews and new customer checks
- Supporting the leadership team with ad hoc finance projects
About You
We're open to candidates ranging from a Finance Assistant through to an Assistant Accountant looking for their next step.
You'll ideally have:
- Solid experience within a finance/accounts environment
- Good knowledge of purchase ledger, sales ledger, reconciliations and bookkeeping
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- AAT qualified or studying towards AAT (desirable rather than essential)
- Good understanding of month-end processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation
- A proactive, commercially minded approach and the confidence to work independently
