Green Lane Partnerships Ltd is a growing business working across renewable energy, infrastructure and operational services.
We are looking for a motivated, ambitious and personable individual to work directly with the Managing Director and help support the continued growth of the business.
This is not simply a routine administration position. It is a varied opportunity to become involved in live projects, client relationships, business operations and the development of new opportunities.
Previous experience in renewable energy or infrastructure is not required. We are more interested in finding someone with energy, initiative and the right attitude—someone who enjoys dealing with people, takes ownership of their work and wants to develop alongside a growing business.
THE ROLE
The Business & Project Coordinator will provide support across Green Lane Partnerships’ day-to-day activities and projects.
The role will initially include:
- Managing actions, deadlines, enquiries and follow-ups
- Communicating with clients, suppliers, contractors and professional advisers
- Preparing and formatting quotations, proposals, reports and presentations
- Helping coordinate meetings, site visits, suppliers and contractors
- Assisting with purchase orders, invoices and project cost records
- Organising project information, documents and electronic filing
- Maintaining company, compliance and health and safety records
- Researching projects, potential clients and business opportunities
- Helping introduce better systems and processes as the business grows
- Supporting the Managing Director with a wide range of business and project-related tasks
- Ensuring agreed actions are followed through and completed
The position is expected to evolve over time. As the successful candidate gains knowledge and confidence, there will be opportunities to take greater ownership of projects, client communication, business development and operational coordination.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who is:
- Ambitious, motivated and keen to progress
- Friendly, confident and a genuine people person
- Positive and enthusiastic
- Proactive and willing to take responsibility
- Comfortable speaking with new people
- Organised and able to manage different priorities
- A clear and professional communicator
- Willing to ask questions and learn
- Comfortable using everyday computer systems
- Trustworthy with confidential and commercially sensitive information
- Prepared to get involved wherever support is needed
- Excited by the opportunity to help build a growing business
Previous experience in administration, project coordination, renewable energy, construction, agriculture, property or infrastructure may be useful, but it is not essential.
We welcome applications from candidates at different stages of their careers. Attitude, personality and potential will be more important to us than having a particular employment background or set of qualifications.
WORKING ARRANGEMENT
The role will involve approximately 22.5 hours across three days each week.
This will be a hybrid position combining home working with regular in-person working in Leicestershire. More face-to-face working will be required during the initial onboarding and training period.
The precise working days and longer-term hybrid arrangement can be agreed with the successful candidate. Some flexibility may occasionally be required around meetings and project deadlines.
