Higher rates within the advertised range may be considered for candidates with strong public sector capital grant assessment, further education estates, construction, cost, programme, sustainability, value-for-money or technical assurance experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE
DADA Enterprises Limited, trading as DADA, is building a pre-qualified associate bench of Capital and Technical Grant Assessors to support future public sector grant assessment rounds.
We are looking for candidates with experience assessing capital, estate, construction, technical delivery, cost, programme, procurement route, sustainability, BREEAM, net zero, risk or value-for-money evidence.
This is a call-off associate opportunity. It is not a guaranteed full-time role. Successful applicants may be contacted for specific assessment assignments as they are mobilised.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Depending on the assignment, you may be asked to:
- review capital, estate, facilities or technical grant applications against defined criteria;
- assess whether proposed delivery plans are credible, costed, deliverable and proportionate;
- review evidence of programme, cost, procurement route, risk, sustainability, value for money and outcomes;
- produce clear, neutral and evidence-based scoring rationales;
- participate in moderation or clarification activity where required;
- identify unsupported claims, delivery risks or evidence gaps.
WORKLOAD EXPECTATIONS
Work will be call-off based and linked to specific public sector grant assessment rounds.
As a planning guide:
- individual application reviews may take approximately 3.75 hours per application, subject to complexity and criteria;
- larger rounds may require availability across a four-to-six-week delivery window;
- specialist assessors may be asked to review multiple applications within a defined scoring period;
- onboarding does not guarantee immediate deployment.
LOCATION AND TRAVEL
The role is expected to be primarily remote. Candidates must be UK-based and able to work securely from home. Occasional London meetings may be required for mobilisation, calibration or client meetings, subject to assignment requirements. Any travel requirement will be confirmed before assignment.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
You should be able to demonstrate experience in one or more of the following areas:
- capital grant assessment or public funding review;
- further education estates, public buildings, facilities or capital programme delivery;
- construction, cost management, project controls, procurement route or programme assessment;
- technical deliverability review;
- sustainability, BREEAM, net zero or social value assessment;
- value for money, risk, assurance or due diligence review.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Public sector capital programme experience.
- Grant assessment or bid evaluation experience.
- Quantity surveying, project management, technical assurance or cost / programme review experience.
- Experience writing evidence-based assessment rationales.
- Experience of moderation panels or consensus scoring.
ONBOARDING REQUIREMENTS
Before any assignment, selected associates will need to complete:
- conflict-of-interest declaration;
- confidentiality / non-disclosure requirements;
- secure data-handling checks;
- availability and rate confirmation;
- scoring / moderation calibration where required.
