Role Summary
Based in our Crewe Window and Door Showroom, supporting customers with accurate order processing whilst proactively developing company sales.
Role Overview
We are looking for a confident, organised and customer-focused individual to join our window and door showroom in a role combining order processing and sales development. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers with window and door enquiries, preparing accurate quotations, processing orders, following up leads and proactively helping to grow showroom sales. Our customers are mainly trade account holders with occasional retail orders.
This is a key front-of-house position suited to someone who enjoys talking with customers, understands the importance of accuracy, and is motivated to identify sales opportunities. Specific product training will be provided, although previous experience within windows, doors, glazing, building plastics, is a necessity. Experience in a trade counter sales or a similar showroom environment would also be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service and Showroom Support
· Welcome customers into the showroom and provide a professional, helpful and knowledgeable first point of contact. Handle email and walk-in enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
· Discuss customer requirements for windows, doors and associated products, helping them understand available options, styles, finishes, hardware and specification choices.
Window and Door Order Processing
· Prepare accurate quotations for customer window and door requirements.
· Process customer orders accurately using the company’s systems and supplier software where applicable.
· Check measurements, specifications, product details, glass options, colour choices, hardware, opening styles and customer information before orders are submitted.
· Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers and internal teams to confirm prices, lead times, technical details and delivery expectations.
· Ensure all order paperwork, confirmations and customer records are complete, accurate and properly filed.
· Follow up with customers regarding quotations, order confirmations, amendments, deposits, balances and delivery or installation updates.
Sales Development
· Proactively develop showroom sales by following up open quotations, previous enquiries and potential customer leads.
· Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell relevant products such as composite doors, French doors, patio doors, bifold doors, roofline, trims, hardware and associated building plastics where appropriate.
· Build strong relationships with trade customers, local building contractors, and retail customers.
· Increase showroom footfall and generate new enquiries by supporting local marketing and promotional activity, including inputting to company’s social media channels.
· Maintain a clear record of leads, follow-ups and sales opportunities to help improve conversion rates.
· Work with management and Directors to achieve agreed sales targets, margin expectations and customer service standards.
· Look for ways to improve the customer journey, quotation process and showroom sales performance.
Skills and Experience Required
· Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional and confident manner.
· Proven sales ability, with the confidence to follow up leads and chase orders.
· Excellent attention to detail, particularly when processing measurements, specifications and order information.
· Good organisational skills and the ability to manage several enquiries, quotations and orders at the same time.
· Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Comfortable using computer systems, email, quotation software and Microsoft Office or similar tools.
· Previous experience in windows, doors, glazing, fenestration, building plastics is a necessity. Trade counter sales, home improvements or construction supplies knowledge would be beneficial.
· A practical understanding of window and door terminology, sizes, product options is required, but training will be provided for company specific products.

Working Environment
The role is showroom-based and will involve regular customer interaction, telephone and email communication, quotation preparation, order processing and sales follow-up activity. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain high standards of professionalism, accuracy and customer care at all times.

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
