Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to provide high-quality care and support between 19:00 to 23:00 within a care home environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents. Responsibilities
- Monitor residents' wellbeing ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Assist with personal care tasks in accordance with individual care plans
- Respond promptly to residents' calls or needs, providing reassurance and support
- Document any incidents or changes in residents’ conditions accurately and report to senior staff
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Support residents with mobility or repositioning as required, ensuring dignity and respect are maintained
- Follow prescribed care plans to deliver personalised care tailored to each resident’s needs
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding residents’ status and any concerns that arise during shift
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good command of English, both written and verbal, for clear communication with residents and team members
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach towards residents’ needs
- Ability to work independently while maintaining vigilance and professionalism
- Organised, reliable, and able to respond calmly in emergency situations
