Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal components according to precise specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality fabrication of metal parts used across various industries. Responsibilities
- Set up press brake machines by selecting appropriate tooling, adjusting machine parameters, and verifying settings before operation
- Operate press brake equipment to produce accurate bends in sheet metal components, adhering to detailed drawings and specifications
- Inspect finished parts for quality, ensuring proper dimensions, angles, and surface finish
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, lubrication, and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Use hand tools and measuring devices such as calipers and protractors to verify part accuracy
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine required operations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members in assembly processes when necessary to ensure seamless production flow
Requirements
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of sheet metal properties and fabrication techniques
- Familiarity with grinding, welding, and general fabrication processes is preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, tooling selection, and basic math skills for measurements and adjustments
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions accurately
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to machine operation and metalworking environments
- Basic understanding of assembly procedures for metal components
