Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Part-Time Italian Pizza Chef to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with a particular focus on authentic Italian pizza making. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Italian pizzas according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including dough making, topping assembly, and sauce preparation
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food handling and preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area before, during, and after service
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality of dishes served
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service and efficient kitchen operations
- Manage stock levels of ingredients and notify management of any shortages or supplies needed
- Adhere to health and safety policies at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, especially pizza making techniques
- Proven experience in kitchen operations, including meal preparation and food safety practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and hygiene standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Enthusiasm for culinary arts with a passion for delivering high-quality dishes to customers
Pay: £12.21-£19.27 per hour
