The Company
Ashby Trade Sign Supplies Ltd is a family-owned manufacturer celebrating 30 years in business this year.
From our 32,000 sq ft factory near Basingstoke, we manufacture signage and sign systems for customers throughout the UK.
The Role
This is a hands-on manufacturing role where no two days are exactly the same. Depending on the needs of the business, you may be involved in:
· Linishing and preparing products to the required standard
· Assembly and finishing of signage products
· Quality control and product testing
· Packing products for safe transportation
· Loading delivery vehicles efficiently
· Stock handling and material preparation
· Operating manufacturing machinery following training
· Reading and following job cards
· Supporting other production areas as required
The Candidate
We're looking for someone with:
· A positive attitude and willingness to learn
· Good communication skills and the ability to read work instructions in English
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately
· A flexible approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· The ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
Desirable (but not essential):
· Experience in manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, engineering or signage
· Experience in dispatch or quality control
· The ability to read technical drawings
· A forklift licence
The Offer
· £35,490 per year
· Monday to Friday working pattern
· 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
· Extended Christmas and New Year shutdown period each year
