About the Role
As Registered Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operation of Oakhurst Children’s Home, ensuring it is a safe, nurturing and aspirational home where children and young people feel valued, listened to and supported to achieve their full potential.
You'll be responsible for creating a positive culture where children experience consistent, high-quality care and staff feel empowered, supported and motivated to deliver their very best. You'll provide strong leadership across all aspects of the home, ensuring compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards while driving continuous improvement and preparing the home for Ofsted inspections.
Working alongside families, social workers, education providers and partner agencies, you'll champion the needs of children and ensure they receive the care, support and opportunities they deserve.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an inspiring leader who has:

Proven leadership and management experience within a children's residential care setting.

A strong understanding of the Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted inspection framework.

Experience of leading, motivating and developing successful teams.

Excellent safeguarding knowledge and a child-centred approach to practice.

The confidence to make decisions, manage change and drive service improvement.

Strong communication, organisational and partnership-working skills.

A resilient, compassionate and solution-focused leadership style.

The relevant Level 5 qualification (or willingness to achieve it) required for Registered Managers.
