About the role:
As a Carpentry Construction Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning. From preparing materials and maintaining equipment to ensuring health and safety compliance, your expertise will help create an inspiring and secure environment for students pursuing careers in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades.
You will maintain workshop equipment, prepare materials, and ensure a safe and efficient learning environment for students. You will be responsible for ordering teaching resources such as wood, metals, plumbing and electrical components and prepare these to be used in teaching.

Criteria:
Essential criteria:
- Level 2 Qualification in English and Maths
- Experience of ordering and handling storage of materials linked to the business need
- Practical skills in carpentry or plumbing or a willingness to undergo some training in basic skills in these areas.
- Understanding of workshop safety and maintenance
- Good organisational and time management skills
Desirable criteria:
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in a construction-related subject
- Health & Safety certification (e.g., COSHH, Manual Handling)
- Experience supporting learners or working in education
- Experience working in a construction or workshop environment
- Ability to demonstrate construction techniques
