The Care & Support Assistant will deliver services which promote the welfare and wellbeing of residents and safeguard them from harm, as well as promoting residents’ participation in the life of the Scheme.

To be shortlisted candidates need to provide evidence of the following as a minimum:
1. Ability to read, write and communicate in English, as evidenced by a relevant qualification, or experience of demonstrating literacy in English in an education or work environment.
If you do not hold a formal GCSE in English at grade C or above (or equivalent), then you must be willing to complete the Essential Skills in Literacy element of the apprenticeship course via SERC. Experience of working as part of a team
2. Basic numeracy skills, as evidenced by relevant qualiification or use of numeracy in a education or work environment.
If you do not hold a formal GCSE in Numeracy at grade C or above (or equivalent), then you must be willing to complete the Essential Skills in Numeracy element of the apprenticeship course via SERC.
3. Willingness to undertake training for the role Committed to enrolling on and completing a Level 2 or level 3 Work Based Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care.

4. Willingness to register with NISCC (Northern Ireland Social Care Council) as a requirement of the role
