Job Summary
As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for an exceptionally skilled and experienced upholstery fabric cutter to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of measuring, marking and cutting fabric and leather to the appropriate size and shape for furniture upholstery. The candidate must have excellent attention to detail and knowledge of various cutting tools and technique.
Candidate Responsibilities and Duties:
· Measure and mark fabrics or materials according to specific dimensions and patterns
· Cut and trim fabric or materials using shears, knives or other cutting tools
· Ensure accurate cuts and precise shapes for the upholstery pieces
· Inspect materials to detect defects or flaws before cutting
· Organise and maintain the cutting area
· Collaborate with colleagues to ensure quality of finished product
· Follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
Candidate Skills and Experience required:
· Proven experience as an Upholstery Cutter or similar role
· Ability to read and interpret upholstery patterns
· Proficiency in using cutting tools and equipment such as scissors and shears
· Physical stamina to stand, bend and lift for extended periods of time
· Knowledge of different types of fabric and materials used in upholstery
· Familiarity with manufacturing operations and safety protocols
· Good organisational and housekeeping skills
· Reliable and professional
· Ability to work independently or within a team to meet deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £27,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
