Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting and decorating, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from residential to commercial properties, contributing to transforming spaces with colour and style. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
- Use a range of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and specialised equipment
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
- Assist in the selection of colours and finishes based on client preferences and project specifications
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or similar trade roles
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for site travel purposes
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, instructions, and specifications accurately
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently
- Physical fitness to perform tasks that involve standing for long periods, climbing ladders, or working at heights
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Pay: £180.00-£220.00 per day
