The Role
As a Day Support Worker, you will support children with learning disabilities, autism, and additional behavioural or sensory needs within a small residential home environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children throughout the day to help them feel safe, engaged, and valued
- Following structured routines and therapeutic support plans under the guidance of senior staff
- Responding calmly and professionally to behaviours that may challenge
- Building positive, trusting relationships with children and acting as a consistent role model
- Supporting children to develop independence, communication, social skills, and confidence
- Encouraging participation in activities both within the home and in the community
- Working closely with families, carers, colleagues, and external professionals to provide consistent support
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare, dignity, and rights of every child

Working Pattern
