About the Role
Neeryville Care is looking for a compassionate and reliable Male Care Assistant to support a gentleman living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in the Highgate N6
This is a long-term opportunity supporting one client with a consistent routine, allowing you to build a trusted relationship while making a meaningful difference to his daily life.
Hours
14 hours per week
Morning and evening visits, seven days a week:
- Monday – Saturday
- 9:30am – 10:30am
- 10:00pm – 11:00pm
- Sunday
- 10:30am – 11:30am
- 10:00pm – 11:00pm
There may be opportunities for additional hours in the future.
Duties
You will support with:
- Morning and bedtime routines
- Personal care
- Continence care and pad changes
- Assisting with transfers and mobility
- Dressing and preparing for the day
- Helping the client safely into bed
- Preparing light meals and drinks where required
- Providing companionship and reassurance
- Recording care notes following each visit
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Male (this is a genuine occupational requirement due to the client's personal care needs)
- Kind, patient and respectful
- Experienced in providing personal care
- Confident supporting individuals with reduced mobility
- Comfortable providing continence care
- Reliable and committed to maintaining continuity of care
- A good communicator with a calm and professional approach
Essential
- Previous experience in care
- Right to work in the UK
- Good spoken and written English
Desirable
- Experience supporting people living with Multiple Sclerosis
- Experience using moving and handling techniques (training can be provided where appropriate)
